Michael J. Newton was appointed as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Catholic Community Foundation of West Central & Southwest Ohio on April 1, 2025.
Mr. Newton has an undergraduate degree in Finance and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. His career in business is wide, first in service businesses, as a commercial banker and then as a consultant with the international consulting giant McKinsey & Co. Moving from services businesses, he transitioned into financial, strategic, and operational leadership roles in large manufacturing companies including Hillenbrand Industries and Standard Textile.
In 2016, Mr. Newton transitioned from for-profit executive leadership roles to serving as the Business Manager of St. John the Baptist Parish in Harrison, Ohio, where he worked until late 2024. As Business Manager, he had responsibility for all financial, human resources, administrative, and building/grounds functions, which included leadership of the fundraising and construction of a new church.
Mr. Newton and his wife Mary Katherine have two sons and seven grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, golfing, and time with his growing family.
